Under the Streetlight

Geez, they were making out in public under a streetlight, no doubt surrounded by ANBU scribbling down notes. Even though she couldn’t sense anyone other than Deidara in the immediate vicinity her mind was fuzzed and couldn’t be trusted. Sakura eased away reluctantly. Deidara made a faint noise of protest but dropped his hands to her waist, giving her some space. She rested her forehead against his chest, breathing deeply, and he propped his chin on top of her head.

“I’ll walk you home,” she finally said.

He pulled back and grinned at her. “Isn’t that my line?”

Sakura shook her head. “You’re supposed to be under guard,” she reminded him. “I have to take you back.”
